New Babies!

Congratulations to Hailee and Ryan Roberts on the birth of their baby boy, James Michael Roberts on Tues., June 12th. He weighed 7 lbs 5 oz and was 20 inches long.

Congratulations to Michelle & Robert Squire on the birth of their baby boy, Porter Finn. He was born June 20th weighing 6.9 pounds and was 18.5 inches long.

Visiting Teaching Message

Demonstrating Our Discipleship through Love and Service

Throughout His mortal life, Jesus Christ showed His love for others by ministering to them. He said, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:35). He set the example and wants us to “succor those that stand in need of [our] succor” (Mosiah 4:16). He calls His disciples to work with Him in His ministry, giving them the opportunity to serve others and become more like Him.

Our service as visiting teachers will closely resemble the ministry of our Savior when we show our love for those we visit teach by doing the following:

*Remember their names and the name of their family members and become acquainted with them.

*Love them without judging them.

*Watch over them and strengthen their faith “one by one,” as the Savior did (3 Nephi 11:15).

*Establish sincere Friendships with them and visit them in their homes and elsewhere.

*Care about each sister. Remember birthdays, graduations, weddings, baptisms, or other times that are meaningful to her.

*Reach out to new and less-active members.

*Reach out to the lonely or those in need of comfort.

Relief Society Activity** June 14th**

Join us on Thursday, June 14th to help prepare some "Love-sagna".  We will be making freezer lasagna to have on hand for those in need of compassionate service. Let's serve up some love!!

Temple Cleaning

Semi Annual Cleaning of Mount Timp Temple:

Thursday, May 31st 6-10pm

We need ONE more sister to help with the cleaning of the temple. Please let either myself (Cara), or Kandace Thayne Northrup know if you are able to fill this assignment.

The volunteers will need to bring their recommends, and come to the loading dock on the south side of the temple at 6pm. Brothers are to wear clean work clothes and the sisters should wear slacks.

Summer Cub Scout/Activity Day Camp**Need Volunteers**

On June 22nd (Friday) is our Summer Cub Scout/Activity Day Camp for the Stake. I need 3 volunteers that could help from 8 am-5pm. The camp is at the beautiful Davis property in Salem. Stake Conference Choir

Stake Conference Choir: We need both men and women to sing in the Stake Conference Choir on Sunday, June 10^th. Please come to the Stake Center this Sunday, May 6th at 7:30 pm to practice for the choir.  We will also practice on Sunday, May 20th, and Sunday, June 3rd, at 7:30 pm.  We are singing “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing” and “God So Loved the World.”   Those with younger families may sit in the congregation and come up and down when the choir sings.
