Visiting Teaching Moment

My current visiting teachers are awesome! When I first had my baby and was adjusting to becoming a new mother, my visiting teachers brought over some anti-gas relief drops to help with the colicky behaviors of my baby, which helped him calm down quicker after feedings. I was also transitioning from working full time to being home full time with my baby, so I was looking for some type of social outlet. My visiting teachers forwarded me the "park play group" email for this summer to get to know other mothers in our ward better, which I thought was so thoughtful of them. Just recently, we talked about ways we could be more self reliant as mothers. I talked about my desire to increase my sewing skills, and a couple weeks later, my visiting teachers set up a sewing class for me to participate in! Overall, I love spending time with these sisters and feel uplifted, both socially and spiritually, when I am with them! It is like "girl time" when we are together - a time to catch up, laugh and share stories, and build each other up each month. I feel so blessed for the positive influence they are in my life!
