Lindon Cannery Information
One change we will make is producing to our capacity instead of being driven by ordered amounts. The available time for Family Canning is becoming more and more limited so we need to use each production day to its full potential. This may alter what you are literally able to purchase even after you have placed your order. When registering for a shift, your order should be your complete, “desired purchase”, which we will then adjust to fit what is actually produced. You must put a number in the # of cases for each ordered amount even if the number is 0.
Another change we are trying during the next family canning opportunity is having you sign up for one shift, but be able to order some of each of the products being produced during the current family canning session. It won’t matter which product you work on, just that you work on one of the Family Canning days. Because we will not be driven by order amounts, we will be able to leave the schedule online for a longer period of time so you can make changes (cancellations, moves, etc.) to your scheduled shift as the need arises.
As a general guideline: if your total order is over 9 cases, please sign up 2 people. (Not the same person on two shifts, but two different people.) Once you are signed up for a shift, please make a commitment to be there or find someone to take your shift. If shifts do not fill up, we may ask for volunteers to serve a 2nd shift.
The products being offered next are Raspberry Jam @ $23.40/case of 12 pint jars, Peach Jam @$21.00/case of 12 pint jars and Pancake Syrup @ $21.00/case of 6 half gallon jugs. Serving a shift will allow you to place an order for all 3 products. However, it will be important for you to fill your shift because you will only have one chance to work and be eligible to get any of these products.
